The 'International conference on global fight against terrorism' on Saturday posthumously awarded former prime minister Benazir Bhutto for her leading role in fight against militancy. Iraqi President Jalal Talabani conferred the award which was received by Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, the middle child of late Benazir Bhutto.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Iranian President Dr Ahmadinejad and President of Sudan Omer Al Bashir were also present on the occasion. President Asif Ali Zardari thanked President Ahmadinejad for citation honouring Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for her leading role in the fight against militancy. "By honouring Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, President, you have indeed honoured all those who are fighting against militancy," President Zardari said.
