Soft commodity markets tumbled early on Thursday, as the commodity complex turned lower, tracking oil which shed over $6 a barrel on a release of stocks by the International Energy Agency. ICE July raw sugar futures were down 0.84 cent or 3.1 percent at 26.39 cents a lb, after falling as low as 25.69 cents earlier in the session.
ICE September arabica coffee was down 3.40 cent at $2.4280 per lb, bouncing off a five-month low hit earlier this week. September cocoa on ICE was down $58, or 1.9 percent, at $2,983 a tonne.
