US MIDDAY: grains fall

US corn fell to three-month low early on Thursday as a surge in the dollar and sharply lower crude oil prices triggered another wave of selling. Corn futures recouped some losses on bargain buying after posting the biggest two-day drop in nearly 2-1/2 years.
Wheat fell nearly 4 percent to a 10-month low. Soybeans dropped almost 2 percent to a three-month low after penetrating their benchmark 200-day chart support. At 11:14 am CDT (1614 GMT), CBOT corn for July delivery was down 17-1/2 cents per bushel at $6.60. Corn is under an expanded 45 cent-per-bushel daily trading limit after closing down the usual 30 cent limit on Wednesday. July delivery wheat was down 12-3/4 at $6.25-1/2 and soya for July was down 18 at $13.12-1/4.
