Low trading activity was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as most of the commodity items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old bardan and new bardan extended rise, gaining by Rs 25 to Rs 2575-2590, Gur low quality shed Rs 100 to Rs 6400, the best type, however, posted the same gain to Rs 7700, other items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the grams sector bajra lost Rs 100 to Rs 2600-2900, other items retained overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply, they said. On the seed side castorseed Nawabshah shed Rs 50 to Rs 2200-2225 and cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 5 to Rs 1375 and the good type also lost Rs 15 to Rs 1410, they said.
