Jamaat-i-Islami to issue 'white paper' on KESC

The Karachi chapter of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) has decided to issue 'Islamic White Paper' on KESC to expose its anti-people and anti-economy moves including retrenchment of thousands of its employees. JI leaders Muzaffar Hashmi, Laeeq Ahmed Khan, Nasrullah Shajeeh, Hameedullah Advocate and Muhammad Younus Barai, in a joint statement on Monday, said that Chief Justice of Pakistan should take suo moto notice of the situation and order the government for taking over KESC.
They feared that the situation might get out of control if citizens got enraged further due to prolonged outages of electricity.
