Fifth Toyota Dream Car Art Contest: IMC holds prize distribution ceremony

Indus Motor Company (IMC) on Monday organised a prize distribution ceremony at its plant to honour winners of "5th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest" which was conducted between November 2010 and February 2011. More than 5,500 entries were sent by young students from all over Pakistan for the contest, out of which the top 15 were selected by a national jury and then sent to Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Japan for "World/Global Art Contest 2010-11".
Out of more than 120,000 entries from 50 countries received by TMC Japan, 30 were selected as the best artworks within their specific categories. The artwork of Fatima Noor, a Pakistani student from Rawalpindi entitled "Monkey Car" made it to the top 30. She has won a four days and three nights trip to Japan.
To celebrate this achievement, all the winning students along with their parents were invited to the awards ceremony followed by a plant tour where the kids witnessed the car manufacturing process and interacted with the IMC team. Speaking on the occasion, Parvez Ghias, the CEO of IMC said, "This activity is in line with our 'Concern Beyond Cars' philosophy. Toyota is proud to recognise the artistic talent of children. We are also extremely pleased that a student from Pakistan has won and will be representing her country in Japan."
