Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereal side makai low type was down by Rs 75 to 2425 and the best type was also lower by Rs 187 to Rs 2438, in sympathy, juwar, followed the same trend losing Rs 150 to Rs 2150 and good type came down by Rs 200 to Rs 2200, wheat old (Bardan) posted fresh gain of Rs 20 to Rs 2530 and new variety also picked up the same amount.
Gur inferior type retained the overnight level at Rs 6500 and the good quality gained Rs 100 to Rs 7600, other items retained the overnight levels, they said. Only one change was seen on the grams side where bajra prices fell by Rs 100 to Rs 2700-3000 during the thin business, they said. On the seeds side cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type rose by Rs 27 to Rs 1350 and best quality did not move any side, they said.
