'Farmers being offered incentives'

Punjab government is providing a number of incentives to farmers, processors, exporters and logistics to enable them deliver produce according to the market needs. This was stated by Punjab Agriculture Secretary, Arif Nadeem while addressing participants in a training programme on International Featured Standards (IFS) here at a local hotel on Saturday.
IFS week by Star Farm, to introduce the standards in the country for value addition, started on June 14. Punjab government representative, Dr Rafiqueur Rehman briefed the participants about the training programme while Country Manager of Star Farm Pakistan Pvt Ltd, Syed Shaukat Ali Sherazi, appreciated the government for launching the system.
