Balochistan government allocates Rs 2.65 billion for 500 UCs

Balochistan Local Government Grants Committee on Saturday approved an allocation of rupees 2.65 billion for over 500 union councils of the province in the provincial annual budget for fiscal year 2011-12. The meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd Galu, also recommended regularising the services of contractual employees of 17 union councils of Mach Tehsil of Bolan district.
The meeting was told that the summary in this regard would be moved for approval of chief minister Balochistan through the finance department so that required funds could be allocated in next budget. Kurd assured the meeting of granting funds for the proposed schemes of the local government department during next year. Provincial Secretary Finance Dostain Jamaldini, Local Government Secretary, Sheikh Mehmoodul Hassan and other concerned official attended the meeting.
