23rd convocation of LUMS held

The 23rd annual Convocation of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) was held on Saturday in which around 567 students were awarded degrees. Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Shahid H. Kardar speaking on the occasion advised students to work hard and never lose faith. He said the students should not be frightened by risk or the fear of failure - it is better to try and fail than not to try at all.
And do not become jaded people like my generation instead, be optimistic and challenge conventional thinking. "It is hard work that can even turn failure into success," he said adding that with sheer determination you could take challenges as there were no short cuts in life. Kardar expressed the hope that the young LUMS graduates would live in Pakistan to serve their country.
