Khalid Aziz Babar, Pakistan's Ambassador designate to Iran, Hasan Javed, High Commissioner (HC) designate to Singapore and Amjad Sial, Ambassador designate to Tajikistan separately, called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Saturday.
They discussed matters pertaining to their new assignments. The President felicitated the newly appointed ambassadors and advised them to focus on further strengthening bilateral relations and promoting co-operation of the country with the countries of their respective postings.
He emphasised that economic diplomacy be pursued vigorously for furthering economic interests of the country. He said that the business communities need to be sensitised and encouraged for taking advantage of investment opportunities offered by Pakistan.-PR
