Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq MNA has said that there will be no legal and constitutional status of elections of Azad Kashmir legislative assembly, being held on 70-percent bogus voter lists. PML-N will not only fight legal war against the rigging being made before elections, its candidates will also take full part in the elections.
He said this while addressing a press conference, here on Friday. Rafiq alleged that on direct instructions of co-chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, President Asif Ali Zardari, federal government has set up a formal cell consisting of federal ministers and ministry of Kashmir affairs for hijacking public mandate in the elections, and prepared an organised plan of rigging before elections. Under this plan, bogus and incomplete voter lists have been prepared in which no number of identity card of voter was mentioned and residential address is also incomplete or unclear, he added.
He further said that federal government has prepared bogus cards of Nadra in large numbers. Candidates of PML-N have lodged complaint of these matters to the Azad Kashmir Election Commission but no action has been taken so far. After that, they have been forced to file a writ petition in Azad Kashmir High Court, he added. The PML-N leader said that despite clear orders of Supreme Court, existing voter lists were not presented to the people before final publication.
