The Karachi Port handled 245,407 tonnes of cargo including 187,797 tonnes of import cargo and 57,610 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 187,797 tonnes comprised of 89,439 tonnes of containerised cargo; 61 tonnes of general cargo; 49,346 tonnes of bulk cargo: 38,563 tonnes of coal; 1,487 tonnes of canola seeds; 6,026 tonnes of rice and 48,951 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 57,610 tonnes comprised of 36,908 tonnes of containerised cargo; 290 tonnes of general cargo; 16,712 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,490 tonnes of cement; 14,222 tonnes of wheat; 000 tonnes of rice and 3,700 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely TS Tokyo, OOCL Dalian, APL Sharjah, Ital Oceano, Tandis, Al-Mirqab, MT Quetta, Liwa, Lodestar Genesis, and Alkman carrying six container ships, three oil tankers and canola seeds carrier respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Ten vessels viz Abdullatif-S, Al-Mirqab, Caeibbean Sea, Taroko, CSL Ride, OEL Trust, Lodestar Genesis, Battery Park, Stanford Pride and Majestic carrying cement carrier, five container ships, two oil tankers, tug and wheat carrier respectively are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Caeibbean Sea, Macrapania, OEL Trust and Al-Khaliq with three contalner ships and wheat carrier on Monday, while six ships namely Taroko, APL Ruby, CSL Ride, Nadeem, Seagull-D and Battery Park with three container ships, two wheat carriers and oil tanker are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz Hanjin Monaco and Yuan Teng carrying container ship and Steel pipes respectively due to arrive on Monday, while eight vessels viz Chemstar Brave, Badr, Orient Chemi, Hyundai Confidence, President Adams, Liberty Promise, Serasih-2 and Sea Wave carrying chemicals carrier, crude oil tanker, base oil tanker, two container ships, vehicles carrier, coal carrier and sulpher respectively are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 150,595 tonnes of cargo includes 117,791 tonnes of import cargo, 32,804 tonnes of export cargo and 1,685 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours.
The total import cargo of 117,791 tonnes includes 73,727 tonnes of furnace oil; 12,463 tonnes of edible oil; 17,006 tonnes of chemicals and 14,595 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 32,804 tonnes includes 18,333 tonnes of wheat; 2,434 tonnes of cement; 3,493 tonnes of rice and 8,544 tonnes of containerised cargo. Two ship namely MV Maersk Idahc and MV Rio Elder sailed out to sea on Momday morning, while three ships namely MV Eairchem Steed, MV Berthea and Zulal-N are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of ten vessels viz MV Rio Elder, MV Maersk Idahc, Alexi-I, MV Abdul, Zulak-N, MV Irini, Nahide-M, Fairchem Steed, Fair Spees and MV Berthea are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, wheat, chemicals, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Sam Eagle, Argent Eye Bright, Al-Salam-II and Golden Ambrosia carrying wheat, edible oil, diesel oil and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two vessels viz MV Golden Ambrosia and MV Argent Eye Bright carrying chemicals and edible oil respectively are expected to take berths at Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday.
