Pakistan ambidextrous bowler Yasir Jan, was indeed one of the biggest finds by Pakistan Super League team Lahore Qalandars.

The youngster can bowl with both arms, and generate serious pace with both hands, now eyes to represent Pakistan in international cricket. “My next goal is Pakistan,” exclaimed Jan, who is currently training at the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in England, and has made huge progress at the prestigious club.

“We came together with Lahore Qalandars, they did a huge talent hunt across Pakistan, and Yasir was spotted, we were able to setup a relationship with him, and he has done superbly well, its been a real pleasure to have him around,” said Steve Kirby, coach at MCC, quoted Cricinfo.

Kirby further praised the youngster for his remarkable improvement. “He can bowl right-arm at a good pace, he is getting quicker, fitter and stronger and he can swing with the left arm as well,” added Kirby.

Yasir Jan revealed his bowling idols, saying that he likes to follow South African pace machine Dale Steyn and Pakistan’s legend Wasim Akram and copy their bowling action.

“I can copy any bowler, but my favorites are [Dale] Steyn and Wasim Akram, and I practice their bowling action,” said Yasir Jan.
