Throwback to when Imran Khan helped Sourav Ganguly during tough times

Despite all the tensions between the neighbors Pakistan and India, it is a well known fact that the cricketers from both sides of the border enjoy cordial relations.
Recently, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly praised the legendary World Cup winning Pakistan captain Imran Khan for helping him during the toughest phase of his career, which was during the infamous Greg Chappell era.
“I once met Imran Khan in Lahore during that period. He was actually following Indian cricket. We have a fantastic relationship, Imran and myself. He said something to me which I always remember in life. When you fly high and see dark clouds, you find a way to fly higher. I remembered those words during that (tough) period,” Ganguly said, quoted Hindustan Times.
The Kolkata born lost his captaincy, form and was even dropped from the squad during that period. However, following Imran Khan’s words Ganguly returned to international cricket in style scoring an unbeaten half-century against South Africa in a Test match in Johannesburg.
