KARACHI: Karachi police arrested five accused of firing in which a man was killed and another injured at Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase-6 on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, armed men opened fire on two persons.
As a result, Zafoor, aged 18, son of Faheem suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot, while, Zahid, aged 20, son of Azeem was critically injured. The body and injured were shifted to Jinah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
However, Karachi police arrested five suspects and recovered the vehicle that was used in firing incident.
SSP South Javed Akbar Riaz claimed that accused were arrested from Khalid Bin Waleed Road with the help of surveillance cameras.
Prime suspect was identified as Wahid Burney and weapons were also recovered from his possession.
