KARACHI: The Registrar of University of Karachi notified on Sunday that Bachelors' and Masters' Open Merit (Morning) Admissions 2018 at the institution will commence from December 4 and will continue till December 13.
He said that for the first time, on the directives of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan, the University introduced online system for admissions which has given fruitful results.
`We have completed online forms submissions for the test based programs so far. We have received a higher number of online admission applications (15,375) than expected. The application forms received manually in the last three years are less than the online applications of year 2017. These forms are checked and verified by computerized system', added the Registrar.
It was pointed out that the applicants seeking admission on the basis of Certificates/degrees other than those awarded by public sector boards or Universities in Pakistan or abroad, must submit the Equivalence Certificate issued by the Equivalence Committee of KU /IBCC. Grace or Condonation Marks will not be considered.
All those candidates who have earlier submitted Test Based Admission Forms are also eligible to apply for Open Merit Admissions Programs after fulfilling all the requirements including Form processing fees submission.
