Sindh Football Association (SFA) President, Ghulam Abbas has expressed surprise over the baseless remarks of former Technical Director, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Mujahid Ullah Tareen. "His groundless statements are clear indication of sabotaging Faisal Saleh Hayat's heroic, brilliant and memorable work for football's promotion, to whom, in recognition of his services, AFC and FIFA called for illustrious posts," he said.
The elevation from member to chairman of AFC disciplinary committee, plus becoming FIFA and World Cup disciplinary committee member, shows the fantastic work of Hayat for PFF from year 2003 to 2010, he added. SFA President said, "PFF won the hearts of the football circles of Pakistan with the performance of U23 team at 16th Asian Games football event in Guangzhou, China. If one compares Pakistan national team's ranking of 169 with the national teams of Oman (96), Thailand (108) and Maldives (148), one can judge the display of team.
We were hoping a clear cut win against Maldives but KRL stopper Samar Ishaq, unfortunately, fumbled a spot kick in the 86th minutes, anyhow, getting a point in ASIAD for the first time in 36 years", he added. Expressing his views, National Football Club Alliance President, Rana Ashraf Shah recalled that Faisal Saleh Hayat, after taking over the seat of PFF President, gave respect and authority to Mujahid Ullah by appointing him as technical director in year 2004. During his stay at PFF Secretariat, he quoted Hayat as the 'best ever PFF President throughout Pakistan'.
