KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Friday at 21,350.97 points with a positive change of 57.45 and volume of 80,773,300 shares. High and Low were 21,375.70 and 21,214.86 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 18 were up, 11 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 115,620,930 shares. Total companies traded were 349 of which 178 were positive, 149 were negative and 22 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 27,686,500 shares. It was followed by Oil and Gas Marketing Companies with a total traded volume of 16,142,800 shares.

The three top traded companies were TRG Pakistan Limited with a volume of 15,978,500 and price per share of 36.79 (1.75), Azgard Nine Limited with a volume of 12,658,500 and price per share of 15.66 (0.51), Worldcall Telecom with a volume of 9,972,000 and price per share of 2.73 (-0.02).

The top three advancers were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 660 and price per share of 2,878.57 (137.07), Sapphire Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 140 and price per share of 1,795 (80.28), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 1,377.60 (65.60).

The top three decliners were Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 2,310 (-120.00), Shezan International Limited with a volume of 500 and price per share of 475.01 (-24.99), Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 1,300 and price per share of 705 (-18.00).
