KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Tuesday at 22,798.80 points with a positive change of 606.14 and volume of 73,400,200 shares. High and Low were 22,817.62 and 22,187.63 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 27 were up, 3 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 107,766,750 shares. Total companies traded were 371 of which 272 were positive, 83 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Engineering was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 15,849,700 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 11,322,000 shares.

The top three advancers were Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 660 and price per share of 1,645.36 (78.35), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 5,520 and price per share of 1,222.75 (58.22), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 120 and price per share of 2,185 (41.01).

The top three decliners were Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 836 (-44.00), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 160 and price per share of 2,360 (-40.00), Atlas Battery Limited with a volume of 2,050 and price per share of 800 (-20.00).
