KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited commodity index on Tuesday closed at 2,950 points.

The total traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at Rs 2.761 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,570, says press release here on Tuesday.

Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to Rs 1.241 billion, followed by gold Rs 698.350 million, currencies through COTS Rs 600.869 million, silver Rs 99.777 million, platinum Rs 67.358 million, copper Rs 33.047 million, Brent crude oil Rs 14.412 million and natural gas Rs 5.587 million.
