RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Monday at 23,191.80 points with a positive change of 59.21 and volume of 49,477,400 shares. High and Low were 23,308.60 and 22,986.46 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 15 were up, 15 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 75,287,790 shares. Total companies traded were 355 of which 177 were positive, 161 were negative and 17 were unchanged.

Engineering was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 9,162,100 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 7,736,800 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Limited with a volume of 5,683,000 and price per share of 6.61 (0.02), Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited with a volume of 4,587,000 and price per share of 33.97 (0.44), Dewan Farooque Motors Limited with a volume of 4,288,500 and price per share of 37.86 (1.75).

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 6,982.50 (332.50), Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 5,800 (199.94), Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 774.24 (36.86).

The top three decliners were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 220 and price per share of 2,519.15 (-113.55), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 360 and price per share of 2,355 (-45.00), Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited with a volume of 2,800 and price per share of 800.77 (-33.68).
