ISLAMABAD: Minister for Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastgir Wednesday said credit for holding 6th population census in the country went to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government.
Talking to a private new channel, he said previous census was also held in tenure of the PML-N.
The minister said proper planning and distribution of the country's resources could be made effectively after knowing exact figure of its population.
To a question, he said foreign funding cases against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) were being preceded in the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Khurram Dastgir said the government had faced PTI's sit-in for 126 days at D-Chowk in Islamabad.
PTI leadership had failed to deliver the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, he added.
