imagePakistan bowler Rumman Raees has emerged as one of the upcoming talents of the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL). Raees, representing the Islamabad United, won praise for his wicket taking ability, and was much in talks for his unique celebrating gesture.

The Karachi born has finally revealed the reason behind his unique celebrating gesture, while talking to media persons. "T20 is a pretty funny cricket, when a bowler celebrates after taking a wicket, his celebration is spoiled after he is smacked on the very next delivery," said Raess.

"So one should celebrate in a manner that brings changes to the aggression of the batsman, and the bowler could fully capitalize on the momentum."

Raees further informed about the origins of his celebration, saying that he came up with it "in the domestic one day tournament held last year. I thought that I would use it in the upcoming PSL."

Rumman Raees, who at the moment is participating at the Pakistan Cricket Boards (PCB) training program, praised the board for its endeavors to improve the cricketing standards in Pakistan.

He informed that the training is going well, and there is much emphasis on the fielding. Whereas, all players are working hard to improve their overall fitness levels, for the upcoming tour to West Indies, he said.

Pakistan would tour West Indies in late March that comprises four Twenty20, three one-day internationals and three Test matches starting from March 26.
