During the previous year, UAE had declared that they wanted to build an artificial actual mountain in the region in order to produce more rainfall. Now, one-upping themselves, the Emir of Dubai has just announced that they plan on building an entire city on the planet Mars.
Certain Emirati engineers have already presented the concept art for the Martian metropolis and is said to be completed on the random date of 2117. Aptly titled City of Wisdom rendered in 3D, was showcased to visitors at the World Government Summit in Dubai earlier during this month.
While talking to foreign media, Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Makhtoum said, human ambitions have no limits, and whoever looks into the scientific breakthroughs in the current century believes that human abilities can realize the most important human dream.
According to media reports, the city will have a capacity to house around 600,000 denizens. The plans seem even more impressive considering the fact that the UAE only started its own space agency back in 2014 and are already underway to send an unmanned mission to Mars by 2021.
