KARACHI: The Admissions for Bachelors and Masters Open Merit Programme-2017 at the Karachi University are commencing from November 28 (Monday), announced by the Director Admissions, Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi, on Sunday.
According to the announcement, the admissions for Bachelors Program will be granted in the Departments of Actuarial Sciences & Risk Management, Agriculture & Agribusiness Management, Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Arabic, Bengali, Biochemistry, Botany, Criminology, Chemistry, General History, Geography, Geology, Health, Physical Education & Sports Sciences, Islamic History, Islamic Learning, Marine Science, Mathematics, Persian, Philosophy, Physics, Physiology, Political Science, Psychology, School of Law ( BA/LLB) Sindhi, Social Work, Sociology, Space Science and Technology, Statistics, Urdu, Usool uddin, Women Studies and Zoology.
In the Masters Programme, the admissions will be granted in the departments for Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics, Arabic, Bengali, Biotechnology, Computer Science (MCS), Genetics, International Relations, Library and Information Science, Industrial and Business Mathematics, Petroleum Technology, Quran and Sunnah, Special Education, Biochemistry, Botany, Criminology, Chemistry, General History, Geography, Geology, Health, Physical Education & Sports Sciences, Islamic History, Islamic Learning, Marine Science, Mathematics, Persian, Philosophy, Physics, Physiology, Political Science, Pakistan Studies, Psychology, Sindhi, Social Work, Sociology, Space Science and Technology, Statistics, Urdu, Usool-ud-din, Women Studies and Zoology.
The applicants seeking admission on the basis of certificates/degrees other than those awarded by public sector boards or universities in Pakistan or abroad, must submit the Equivalence Certificate issued by the Equivalence Committee of KU /IBCC at least three days before the announcement of List of Admissions. Grace or Condonation Marks will not be considered for determination of merit.
Admission forms with the prospectus can be obtained on Payment of Rs. 1200 from the designated branches of UBL from November 28, 2016 to December 12, 2016 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and on Fridays from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Admission forms could also be downloaded from KU website (www.uok.edu.pk), and submit it in the branches of UBL with Rs. 900.
