imagePESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that provincial government is working to transform the system to fulfill the aspirations of people who voted PTI for raising slogan of change.

This he said while addressing participants of National Defense Workshop arranged by National Defense University at CM House on Friday.

The participants of the workshop comprised members of provincial, national assembly and senators from all over the country.

The participants were led by Director General Institute for Strategic Studies, Research and Analysis Major General Ghulam Qamar. Provincial Ministers and high ups were present on the occasion. Provincial Secretaries for Home and Planning and Development Department briefed the participants about the steps taken by provincial government for improving law and order situation and ongoing development process in the province.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that political interference in police, health, education and other sectors was the main reason behind the problems faced by people in getting justice adding PTI led coalition government had made legislations to block interference in performance of public institutions.

He informed that more than 150 laws had been enacted in the province while amendments in 100 different laws were underway. He said that RTI was the first law initiated in province to ensure access to information.

The CM told delegates that step had been taken to improve education sector in the province adding target of 90 percent improvement would be achieved till 2018.

Regarding hospitals of the province, he said that beside provision of online budget salaries of the doctors had been increased while monitoring system was introduced in hospitals to ensure presence of doctors there.
