RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 42949.73 points with a positive change of 48.71 and volume of 140,031,660 shares.

High and Low were 43206.33 and 42901.02 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 564,483,400 shares with 412 total traded companies out of which 224 were up 174 were down and 14 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 58,665,000 shares. It was followed by TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION with a total traded volume of 58,061,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Azgard Nine with a volume of 31,249,500 and price per share of 9.12 (0.63), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume 30,145,000 of price per share of 13.15 (0.03), Media Times Ltd with a volume 29,231,500 of price per share of 5.00 (0.70).

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize(XD) with price per share 7700.00 (290.00), Nestle PakistanXD price per share of 8750.00 (200.00) and Sanofi-Aventis share of 2110.95 (100.52).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4522.54 (238.02), Philip Morris Pak. with price per share of 2016.35 (93.16) and Exide (PAK) share of 1071.74 (50.55).
