Shehbaz Sharif stresses need for unity

imageLAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that there was a greater need for unity in the present situation and urged political elements who were dividing the nation to mend their ways.

Talking to elected representatives who met him here, he said that it was time to promote unity to foil nefarious designs of the enemy.

He said that it was high time to set aside mutual differences and give a strong message to the enemy through forging unity.

He said that violation of Line of Control by India was a threat to peace.

He said that Indian forces were resorting to cowardly acts by targeting innocent citizens and the evil face of India had been exposed.

Shehbaz Sharif said that brave armed forces of Pakistan were capable of giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression.

He said that Pak Army could defend every inch of the land of the country and was giving a forceful reply to the enemy.

He said that enemy of Pakistan was perturbed over CPEC, aimed at progress and prosperity of the country, and was trying to sabotage this project.

The Chief Minister said the CPEC was a guarantee to progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its completion would change destiny of the country and a new era of progress and prosperity would usher in.

He said that CPEC project would have to be implemented through maintaining unity and solidarity.

Those who called on the Chief Minister included Members National Assembly Syed Javed Ali Shah, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, Raja Muhammad Javed Akhlas, Member Provincial Assembly Abdul Rauf Mughal and former MNA Afzal Tarar. Mansha Ullah Butt MPA was also present on the occasion.
