SC adjourns hearing of review appeal regarding payment of pensions to retired employees
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing of the review appeal regarding payment of pensions to retired employees of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) till November 30.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case.
During the course of proceedings, the counsel for PTCL said that many retired employees of PTCL was brought in the apex court to pressurized its client.
On which Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that court decided cases on merit. The counsel for employees told the bench that PTCL administration was not implementing court orders due to review appeal.
Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that court orders could not be stopped from implementation due to hearing of review appeal.
Later, the court adjourned hearing of the case and remarked that no adjustment would be granted in future to counsels at any grounds.
