ISLAMABAD: Police claimed to have foiled a sabotaging bid in the federal capital after they arrested four suspected terrorists including an alleged suicide bomber along with an explosives-laden vehicle here on Saturday.
Police stopped the vehicle for checking in near Chack Shahzad of Islamabad on which the alleged onboard terrorists resisted.
Police checked the vehicles and seized scores of rounds, suicide jackets, rocket launchers, explosive materials and hand grenades.
Police rounded up four terrorists along with a suicide bomber who was allegedly prepared to carry out a suicide attack in the federal capital.
Police cordon off the Chatta Wakhtawar area and search operation underway for the arrest of their colleagues.
Police raid a house on the information received from the detained terrorists and recovered heavy explosives including 190 venomous injections, missiles, 107 shells, two suicide jackets, 12 rockets and 12 hand grenades.
Police have shifted the arrested suspects to an undisclosed location for further interrogation, while search for owner of the house underway.
