ISLAMABAD: Gen. (Retd.) Talat Masood said that threat perceptions of Pakistan and the US vary from each other despite unity of objectives so both the countries want to confront the threat differently.
Talking to VOA on Saturday, he said that Government is not strong enough to control entire Afghanistan saying that after withdrawal of allied forces from Afghanistan, anarchy may prevail in Afghanistan and many power centers may emerge like 90s.
He said Pakistan feels threat from India-influenced Afghanistan and wants to avoid any such situation.
He said US administration should keep in mind Pakistan's limitations and let Islamabad to handle the situation in its own way.
