DUBAI: Iran will ban rice imports from July 21, the agriculture minister was quoted as saying by the Tasnim news agency on Monday, aiming to protect domestic farmers during their harvest.
Mahmoud Hojjati said Iran has imported 191,000 tonnes of rice this year, noting imports are already down from previous years.
