WASHINGTON: The eurozone should swiftly resolve its debt crisis, which could leave the IMF without adequate resources for needy countries, China's central bank chief said Saturday.
"The sovereign debt crisis in the euro area needs to be resolved promptly to stabilize market confidence," Zhou Xiaochuan said at the International Monetary Fund. He warned that IMF resources "may not be adequate" to deal with potential demand for its aid.
