Dengue deaths mount to 102
LAHORE: Dengue fever continued taking its toll as the number of cases reached to alarming level in Punjab on Saturday.
Nine more patients were died of the virus in Lahore today taking the death count to 102.
After confirmation of dengue virus cases in Multan and other parts of southern Punjab by the health department the authorities have launched special spray drives in these areas.
The increasing number of dengue infections has been reported at Multan, Layyah, Vehari, Fatehpur, Khaniwal, Dera Ghazi Khan and other areas of Punjab's southern belt. According to reports 152 dengue patients brought to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.
