US should respect Pak sovereignty: Rehaman Malik

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan has been extending all possible cooperation to the United States in its war on terrorism, therefore, the United States should respect the sovereignty of Pakistan.

In an exclusive interview to a private news channel, minister said that Pakistan will not tolerate any foreign intervention on its soil.

After strongly rejecting the report of Pakistani intelligence agency's contact with the Haqqani network, he said that if the United States has any sort of information in this connection, should share that with Pakistan. And Pakistani forces will themselves take action.

He also rejected strongly the involvement of Pakistani intelligence agency in bomb explosion in Kabul and said that Pakistan did not believe in any such activities.

He said that Pakistan itself has the capability to launch offensive against terrorists. We are jointly fighting against the enemy but terrorists are taking the advantage due to the lack of a joint strategy.
