QUETTA: Gunmen ambushed a bus taking pilgrims to Iran, killing 20 passengers on Tuesday, a government official said.
There are fears that the death toll could rise further after the attack in Mustang, the local deputy commissioner Saeed Imrani told AFP.
The band of gunmen first flagged down the bus, before opening fire on the vehicle.
"Armed men stopped, then opened fire on their bus. Twenty people have been killed and three were injured. "The death toll may rise," he added.
