LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 36.18 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5331.52 points and closed at 5367.70 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 443,800 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.524 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.080 million shares. While, out of the total 61 active scrips 9 moved up, 5 shed values and 47 remained equal.
The top three Major Gainers of the day were Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 9.25, Rs 1.27 and Re 0.55 respectively.
Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited and Power Cement Limited lost their per share value by Rs 14.00, Re 0.45 and Re 0.25 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 248,000 shares, K-Electric Limited with 50,000 shares and NIB Bank Limited with 35,000 shares.
