LAHORE: Canteen Store Department (CSD), a supermarket network for armed forces, has announced special discount upto 35 percent on all products throughout the country during the holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.
Managing Director, Canteen Store Department, Major General Niaz Kausar Sheikh told APP on Saturday that he had approved special discount at all its outlets across the country. He said that even civilian could also visit for shopping.
He said that the best quality grocery, food items, garments, furniture, fresh fruits, vegetables and other household items were available at all stores at reasonable rates, comparatively less than open market.
He said, "CSD has been offering special discounts almost for the last several years with a sole aim to facilitate all segments of the society especially the poor to observe "fasts" and celebrate Eid properly".
He said that in certain items "We sell them even at loss" and benefit goes to the people.
A civilian visitor Muhammad Ramazan, a driver by profession, said he had purchased a number of items for his six-member family at a special discount from CSD store.
Major (Retd) Zahoor Ahmad Ranjaha, Lt.Col (Retd) Sultan Haider, Majors (Retd) Umar and Anzar said that they got changed mobil oil and air filters of their cars and also got checked air pressure of tyres without service charges besides wheel balancing at Guard Auto Zone outlet at the CSD.
They said that it was a good addition to CSD for better service for all visitors to save time and get quality automobile services while shopping.
