LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 2.97 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5789.11 points and closed at 5786.14 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 821,800 shares to close against previous turnover of 657,700 shares, showing an upward move of 164,100 shares. While, out of the total 67 active scrips 11 moved up, 10 shed values and 46 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Pak Elektron Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Maple Leaf Cement Factory by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 2.01, Rs 2.00 and Rs. 1.47 respectively.
Habib Bank Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim and Synthetics Products Enterprises lost their per share value by Rs. 2.90, Rs. 2.20 and Rs. 2.18 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included K-Electric Limited with 411,000 shares, The Bank Of Punjab Limited with 185,000 shares and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim with 68,000 shares.
