hongkong-stockHONG KONG: Hong Kong shares were flat by the break as early gains were pared by profit-taking following a two-day rally.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index edged down 5.79 points to 22,035.98 on turnover of HK$31.50 billion ($4.05 billion).
