BRASILIA: Brazil posted a current account deficit of $4.1 billion in May, the central bank said on Monday.
The country had been expected to post a deficit of $3.8 billion, according to the median forecast of 11 analysts in a Reuters survey. The forecasts for the deficit ranged from $2.2 billion to $4.2 billion.
Brazil's current account deficit in April was $3.5 billion, the central bank said last month.
