PPP grabs 13 seats, PML-N gets 3, Muslim Conference 2
ISLAMABAD: As many as 13 candidates of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) have won their seats of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly from different constituencies on Sunday so far.
According to unofficial results, three candidates of Pakistan Muslim League (N), two candidates of Muslim Conference while one independent candidate also obtained seats.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate and former Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry from LA-3 (City Mirpur-III) and President PPP AJK Chaudhry Abdul Majeed LA-2 (Chakswari Mirpur-II) have also won their seats.
Other PPP candidates who won their seats included Afsar Shahid LA-1 (Dadayal Mirpur-I), Syed Azhar Hussain Gillani (LA 39, Valley- 4), Sardar Yaqoob of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) (LA 19 Rawalakot-3), Afsar Shahid (LA-39, Valley-4), Chaudhry Akbar Ibraheem (LA-34 Jammu-Gujarat), Abdul Salam Butt (LA-40, Valley-5) Sardar Qamar Zaman (LA-14, Bagh-II) and Chaudhry Abdul Majeed (LA-2,Mirpur).
Two candidates of Muslim Conference including party President Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan (LA-13, Bagh-1) and Sayab Khalid (LA-20) while Raja Farooq Haider (LA-28) of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and one independent candidate Muhammad Hussain Sargana (LA-37) also won their seats.
