PML (N) wins LA-35, Kashmir Valley-5
ATTOCK: The candidates of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) won majority in LA-35 (Jammu & others-6) and Kashmir valley- 5 constituencies meant for AJK refugees, in connection with the AJK Legislative Assembly elections.
Spokesman of the Election Commission Syed Zaigham Altaf told APP on Sunday that according to the unofficial results, the PML (N) candidate Raja Muhammad Saddique secured 1475 votes against the total of 2283 cast votes, PPP's aspirant Amin Chugtai got 647 votes while Sardar Abdul Razzak of Muslim Conference managed to obtain only 30 votes.
In LA-35 (Jammu & others-6) constituency total registered voters were 4783 while nine polling stations were set up for polling across the district, he said.
He further informed that in Kashmir Valley-5 constituency, the PML (N)'s aspirant Bashir Ahmed secured 42 votes out of a total 100 cast votes while PPP's candidates Abdul Salam Butt got 40 votes.
In this constituency, total registered Kashmir voters were 171, where four polling stations were set up to hold the elections.
The EC spokesman claimed that the elections were held in peaceful manner at all the polling stations of the district.
