Two 8 kg bombs found in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: The police here was investigating after two bombs, eight kg each, were found near a wall of a local madrassah in Awan chowk here Saturday morning. The bomb disposal squad was called by concerned police after it was informed of presence of a plastic bag containing bombs found near Madrassah Nooriah. A teacher had informed the police on seeing the explosive material. According to police,they reached the site on the call of teacher Ubaid al Amir and sought help of bomb disposal unit to diffuse the bombs. Nearby buildings were evacuated by authorities to avoid any loss as the bombs were being diffused till the filing of this report.
