ISLAMABAD: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Moula Baksh Chandio Friday introduced The Delimitation of Constituencies (amendment) bill, 2011 in Senate, which was referred to concerned committee for consideration and deliberation.
The bill proposed amendments in the Delimitation of Constituencies Act, 1974 to bring the provisions of the Act, in conformity with Articles 51, 106 and 218 of the constitution as amended by the constitution (18th amendment) Act, 2010. Consequential amendments have been proposed in Section 4,5,7,8 and 9 of the act.
Meanwhile, the Minister laid before the Senate the annual report of the National disaster Management Authority for the year 2010.
