ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Dr Hafeez Sheikh on Wednesday said that common man would be given relief once 700,000 new tax payers came under the system.
He was responding to a point of order of MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar, who asked the minister that if the government had any plan to utilize revenues to be generated by bringing 700,000 new tax payers under the tax net, for the welfare of people.
Dr. Sheikh said plans were afoot to provide relief to common man as well as facilitate small tax payers.
