TORONTO: Toronto's main stock index was lower shortly after the open on Wednesday as investors were cautious ahead of a US Federal Reserve announcement.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index eked out a small gain at the open, but turned lower soon after, falling 21.58 points, to 13,041.74.
