Presidency following 2pc job quota for disabled persons

imageISLAMABAD: The Presidency on Tuesday categorically stated that it was following the 2% employment quota reserved for the disabled persons in its true letter and spirit.

Press Secretary to the President Ms Saba Mohsin Raza clarified a news item in a section of media regarding non-implementation of 2% job quota reserved for disabled persons in some ministries and divisions, including the Presidency.

Giving details, the Press Secretary said that presently six persons with special needs, including two women and four men, were working in the Presidency in various grades, which constitutes more than 2% of the current working strength of the employees from BS 1 to 22.

She said President Mamnoon Hussain has specially emphasized on the protection of rights of the persons with special needs and has keen interest towards their welfare and betterment.
