LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 24.37 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4331.37 and closed at 4307.00 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.069 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.872 million shares, showing an upward move of 1.197 million shares. While, out of the total 80 active scrips only 11 moved up, 50 remined equal with 19 shed values.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 7.63, Rs 6.35 and Rs 1.40 respectively.
Glaxo Smith Kline Pakistan, Engro Corporation Limited and D.G.Khan Cement Company lost their per share value by Rs 2.92, Rs 2.18 and Rs 1.80 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Wateen Telecom Limited with 1.987 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 349,000 shares and Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited with 296,000 shares.
